Disputing information on your credit report

It is important to check your credit report for any inaccuracies, at least once a year.  If you should find any discrepancies, you can dispute them.  If it is reporting with all 3 bureaus, then you will have to dispute the discrepancy with each of the 3 credit reporting agencies:  Equifax, Transunion, and Experian.   The dispute process can take up to 30 to 45 days with each credit reporting agency.  Please make sure that you have supporting documentation for the disputed account.
